We use a proprietary tool to help familes make wise choices called "The Planning Horizon".

The Planning Horizon has two key components. The first one is work done above the horizon which is very focused around generating clarity, around the things you are actually trying to achieve. The second part revolves around actions we take below the horizon. This includes strategies, tactics and tools.
